Everyone has an organ called the pancreas. The pancreas is responsible for the process of turning food into energy. It does this by producing insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps the glucose to be absorbed into the bodies cells, thus providing energy. Diabetes is a condition in which the pancreas cannot correctly process food.
